Why Do We Write?

I have always been told, to pen down thoughts is to make them immortal - a way to keep them alive every time you read them. A way to travel back to the time you put them down, to feel that way again.

Funnily enough, I forget after I write.

I have been reading some old entries in my little notebook, (I would say 'diary', but I find myself unable to say it without thinking of Bridget Jones Diary) only to find that I barely remember how I felt, or why I felt that way. I do not know if that's a good or bad thing. Never judged, not going to start. It's a shame though. I forget nice things. Good things. Bad things. Lessons. Experiences. I pen them down, hoping I will remember, but!

Here's to hoping it changes.
